Rudra Chawla, representing Doon Public School Panchkula, secured second position in the 500m inline categoryat the prestigious 6th Chandigarh Open Speed Skating Championship held on October 6, 2024. The event took place at the Indoor Skating Rink, Sector 10, Chandigarh, and featured participants from various age groups. Silver medal in the 9th Panchkula District Subjunior Boys & Girls Kyorugi & Poomsae Taekwondo Championship
Adhyan Jain, a talented LKG student at Doon Public School, has achieved an impressive feat by winning the silver medal in the 9th Panchkula District Subjunior Boys & Girls Kyorugi & Poomsae Taekwondo Championship 2024. Organized on 24th October 2024 by the Panchkula District Taekwondo Association (PDTA) in collaboration with R Kay Taekwondo Club, the event was affiliated with the Haryana State Taekwondo Association and recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India.

District Swimming Tournament
Two students from Doon Public School, Krishna Jay Prakash Raj (IXA) and Medansh Sheoran (IXB) participated in the District Swimming Tournament held in Panchkula.Krishna won three gold medals in the 50m Butterfly, 100m Butterfly and 200m Freestyle events and was selected for the state level. Medansh showcased exceptional performance in the 200m and 100m Butterfly events, securing selection for the state on a trial basis. Gold medals in Panchkula Open District Swimming Competition.
Krishna Raj of IX A and Medhansh of IX B showcased their extraordinary efforts in swimming and earned Gold medals in Panchkula Open District Swimming Competition.The competition was a display of beautiful athleticism and sportsmanship as swimmers dove into the inviting water and speedily made their way through the length of the pool. Krishna Raj won Gold medals in 200 metre Free Style and 100 metre Butterfly races. Along with it, he also bagged a Silver medal in 50 metre Butterfly race. Medhansh also earned Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in 200 metre,100 metre and 50 metre Butterfly races respectively. The Director Principal, Mrs Sunita Anand congratulated the winners and applauded them for displaying genuine spirit of sportsmanship. Principal Mrs. Vandana Malik praised both the swimmers and motivated them to keep the flag of the school high always.

Harteg Singh, a student of Class1A and a budding chess player,displayed his mastery in chess by zealously participating in the mind game and received appreciation certificates in the 14th Panchkula District Chess Championship as well as in the 28th Haryana State Chess Championship 2024-25. Harteg Singh showcased his excellent analytical skills and logical reasoning with the help of which he finally attained 1st and 8th position in two different events of the tournament.The Director Principal, Mrs. Sunita Anand applauded the winner for unfolding these opportunities at such a young age and wished him the best for his future endeavours. Principal Mrs. Vandana Malik congratulated the winner too and motivated other young learners to increase their participation in such competitions with high spirits.

Chess Enthusiasts Win Top positions in 14th Panchkula District C’ship The teams from Doon Public School, Panchkula shined at the 14th Panchkula District Chess Championship 2024-25.The competition was held at The Bharat School, Sector -12, Panchkula. Accolades were given to both individuals as well as group work. The game started with the knock-out matches, semi-finals, and finale for each group category. After a nail-biting competition the winners were announced.The Dean Captain Sanjay Anand SM and the Principal Mrs Vandana Malik congratulated the winners. Winners in U-17(boys) Group event were Lakshya Pratap Singh, Tathya Sharma,Sachit Kumar,Jeevan Jangra and Karnik( got third place) U-17 (Boys/Girls)- Individual event, Bhavik Soni and Elina Bhardwaj got Consolation Prizes. As one of its students, Ankush Rana from Class 12th completed the KUKKIWON's 2nd Dan Taekwondo Promotion Test. He accomplished 2nd black belt in Korean martial art taekwondo from South Korea Kukkiwon. Under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Centre Government of India were given away by Sh Gian Chand, speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha to 36 schools of Haryana.
