Teacher's Day

Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 05, 2023, with great enthusiasm and merriment. The program was led first by a prayer followed by a peek into Dr Radharkrishan’s life. The Tiny Tots presented poems, songs and dance performances that made the day memorable.The teachers performed a scintillating and inspiring dance performance to showcase their love and care for their students.

Raksha Bandhan 2023-24

Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the zeal and endeavour that one associates with this auspicious festival. The tiny tots, in traditional attire enthusiastically participated in rakhi-making and colouring activities. The activities were chosen keeping in mind the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) to promote integration of concepts and enhance the motor skills of our kindergarteners. The vibrant, colourful attire and innocent smiles brightened the ambience and lifted the spirit. The Principal, Ms. Vandana Kumari appreciated the efforts of tiny tots and motivated them to take part in such activities.

Janmashtami celebration 2023-24

Shri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tiny tots of Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, Panchkula. Dressed as Radha and Krishna, the cute little ones added a traditional touch to the entire celebration when they danced to the beats of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with a joy and festive spirit.

Independence day 2023

Freedom in the mind, Faith in the words... Pride in our soul... Let’s salute the Nation on this auspicious day. Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Doon Public School. The school decorated with tricolor saffron, white and green balloons and flags welcomed the eyes of all to the function. The students came in proper school uniform.The ceremony started at 8 AM in the school open ground with large crowd of staff and students. To commemorate the sovereignty of our Nation,Dean Sir , Director Principal and Principal of the School unfurled the tricolor and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of freedom.The students of Choir group with melodious voices sang the Patriotic song- that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Motherland. Students enlightened everyone with importance of being united. All the speakers exhorted the students to follow the ideals of the great people. Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and Unity in Diversity.

Poem recitation competition

Poetry is the core of literature. To spread the fragrance of poetry amongst the students, an Inter House Poetry Recitation Competition was organised in the school. The cute poets enjoyed the beauty of expression, thought, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and the music of words. The main purpose behind conducting such competitions was to build self confidence, development of the oratory skills and self expression. Director Principal Mrs.Sunita Anand and School Principal Mrs Vandana Malik appreciated and congratulated each and every student for their outstanding performance and applauded and praised them for their capabilities.

9th International Yoga Day

Today, on 21st June 2023, Doon Public School celebrated 9th International Yoga Day. It was attended by teachers and Students with great enthusiasm.The event began with a brief introduction on Yoga Day.Warm up exercises were taken and all the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. The celebration concluded with the speech of Director Principal and Principal. Director Principal encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

Interpersonal Social Skill Development

Theoretical knowledge of a subject alone can no longer guarantee the success of a child. To thrive in this technology-driven world, students need to be equipped with 21st-century skills -- collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. Doon Public School sincerely believe that love for learning and passion for exploring lead to the development of a community of life-long learners, which is, after all, the aim of all education initiatives. To achieve this aim teachers conducted several activities for the Primary students for ensuring interpersonal social skill as they go far beyond social niceties such as being polite and civil.

Labour Day Celebration

International Labour Day is celebrated to commemorate the struggles and achievements of workers around the globe. Doon Public school organised a special assembly to celebrate the day wherein students showed their gratitude towards the stars of this day, i.e. all the helping hands in the school. Tiny tots of the Pre-primary section and students of senior section gifted them with basic amenities for personal hygiene and money plants to bring positivity and good luck in their lives.

Mother's Day Celebration

Investiture Ceremony

Doon Public School held an ‘Investiture Ceremony’ on April 29 marking the formation of new Student Council for the present academic session. House Captain, Vice Captain and Prefects from each house were elected. Badges and Sashes were conferred upon the students by the Director and the Principal as they donned the mantle of responsibility entrusted to them. The new members pledged to uphold the school’s values and fulfil their duties with sincerity and dedication. The event culminated with a motivational address by the Dean, Captain Sanjay Anand (SM) who encouraged the students to walk on the correct path and to make a positive influence on the school community.

Grooming Skill Day

Developing and maintaining good personal hygiene is key to have a healthy body and mind. Keeping in mind the rising importance of hygiene Doon Public School, Sector 21 Panchkula, conducted several activities to highlight the importance of hygiene in daily life. Students presented a skit on personal hygiene wherein they emphasized having a daily routine like getting dressed up smartly, tying up shoe laces, having a bath daily, etc. Learning was made easy by exhibiting the chores from simpler to complex.

Annual Result Celebrations cum Prize Distribution Day

Doon Public School celebrated its Annual Result Celebrations cum Prize Distribution Day on Tuesday, 28th March 2023 amidst great splendor, mirth, and zest. Dr. Kulbhushan Sharma, President of NISA was the Hon’ble Chief Guest on the occasion. Lt. Col J.S Kanwar and Smt. Manju Kanwar, parents of Capt. Sandeep Shankla, Ashok Chakra were the Guests of Honour. The school Principal, Mrs. Sunita Anand presented the Annual Report highlighting the achievements of the school in scholastic as well as co-scholastic areas.The stupendous enactment presentations by the students mesmerized the audience. The program ended with the Vote of Thanks by the Dean Capt. Sanjay Anand SM, followed by the School Anthem. This phenomenal event was a feather in the cap of the school establishing another milestone in its remarkable journey.

World Heritage Day

Doon Public School, sector 21 , Panchkula celebrated World Heritage Day to raise awareness among students about preserving our heritage sites and also the efforts required to conserve and draw attention towards it.A special assembly was organised where students were told about the true meaning of heritage, its importance and the need of its preservation. A beautiful video was showcased on seven incredible and famous heritage of the world.Principal Mrs Sunita Anand in her message urged students to preserve monuments and cherish them as the foreteller of the past.

Workshop on Growing up Healthy

Doon public school Sector 21, Panchkula conducted a workshop on ‘ Everybody is Unique’ under the tagline *Growing up Healthy* The aim of the program was to sensitize and orient students about adolescent problems and associated issues, need and relevance of health education, crucial role of young minds for bringing about a change. The workshop also impressed upon the significance of listening, understanding, appreciating and suitably incorporating the adolescent's viewpoints. Principal Mrs Sunita Anand advocated the need for approach and to be more innovative and creative while handling the issue. She assured the students that the teachers always know and respect diversities in the learner's background and respect their viewpoints rather than imposing her/his own views.

Campaign For National Education.

Amidst the sounds of 75 conch shells, top educationists of the country launched a campaign of taking national education to a higher level. The Manthan program was organized by the National Independent School Alliance (NISA) at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula. Haryana School Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar was the chief guest of the program, while Director of NCERT Prof. Dinesh Saklani and Padma Shri Dr. Bharat Bhushan Tyagi were present as special guests. The program was inaugrated by lightning of the lamp by the special guest, Prof. Dinesh Saklani. Arjuna Awardee and Billiards Champion Geet Sethi was also presrent on the occassion. In the cultural programme, children of Doon Public School enthralled the guests with dance and song presentations. The best performing students were felicitated by the Chief Guest. State Education Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar appreciated the commendable initiative of educationists and the essence of a better future for our society. It was also declared that a team of Haryana government will be sent to Scotland to learn new ways to improve our education system.

Annual Communication Skill Day

To enhance Creativity, Vision and build confidence; a Pretend Play performance was conducted for the students of classes Nursery Junior to II of Doon Public School. The students participated in huge numbers and showcased their versatility. It was a delight from right from beginning to end with children, in an array of glittering costumes hu mouthing famous dialogues and slogans, leaving everyone enthralled. They were all smartly dressed up and took part with much enthusiasm. The students presented themselves by sharing information about the characters they depicted.

Birthday Bash

Cute birthday stars looked precious in their colorful attire. Little champs cut the cake after blowing out the shining candles. Silver Colour Day & January Birthday Bash was conducted in classes Nursery Junior to II. Children were dressed in beautiful attire, brought their food items in tiffin and loved to share with their friends. The little ones danced to the tune of good music and immensely enjoyed the day.

Basant Panchamti

Basant Panchami is an occasion which marks the advent of the spring season and is also celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge and wisdom. This auspicious day was celebrated by the students of Doon Public School with great enthusiasm. They offered floral prayers and invoked the blessings of Maa Saraswati. Significance of Saraswati Pujan was also explained to them. They sang Saraswati Vandana and ate Prasad. Students of class X and XII did a special puja and sought the blessings of goddess before the onset of the final Board Examination. All were in a festive mood and were very excited throughout the session.

Republic Day

74th Republic Day commemorated with tremendous enthusiasm and spirit in Doon Public School. Various contests, such as those for dancing, singing, and presenting republic day speeches, were organised in the school.The Principal,Mrs Sunita Anand urged the students to help each other to improve our country as a whole and to be committed towards the progress and development of our country.

Christmas Slumber Party

It was an amalgamation of colourful pajamas, mushy pillows, soft toys, during the ‘Christmas Slumber Party’ at Buds 'N' Blooms, kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, Panchkula for students of classes Nursery Junior to II. In their snazziest dresses and carrying their favourite soft toy for a fun-filled day with their best friends, kids made the most of this day. The classrooms were transformed into a haven for the tiny tots with Christmas stockings, candies, and cakes. The children swayed to their favourite Christmas carols, played games, watched their favourite Christmas movies, and bundled up in warm blankets

Inter-house fun games

Inter- House fun games were organized in Doon Public School with great spirit, vigor and enthusiasm. All the students participated with immense zeal and gave their best wholeheartedly. The events of the day began, with the welcome song. The four Houses of the school cheered for their respective members. Principal Ma’am Mrs Sunita Anand gave a green signal to the opening of the program with an inaugural address. Different Houses were competing against each other in sports events like relay races, Duck Walk, Try Your Luck, Ball Waddle Race, Safe Escape, and Flip the Cone. The participants exhibited the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and camaraderie. All the events kept everyone enthralled. The winners of the events were given away medals. In the end, Principal Ma'am congratulated the students for their exceptional performances and advised them to keep up their sportsman spirit.

Computer Literacy Day

World Computer Literacy Day is celebrated on 2nd December every year. This day aims to create awareness and drive digital literacy in communities worldwide. We, at Doon Public School, celebrated Computer Literacy Week in classes from Junior Nursery to II where students discussed the importance of computers in our daily life. Students know how computers have become such an integral part of their life which has opened a new world for them. They enjoyed this week by learning more about computers. Children performed various tasks on MS Word-like typing their names, changing the color, and resizing. They also executed various other tasks on MS Paint like inserting basic shapes & designs and adding colors and stickers. They enjoyed the visit to the school computer lab.

Junior Sports Day

Doon Public School organized Junior Sports Day 2022-23 on Monday, November 28, 2022, in the sprawling and dense green woods with much fervor and passion. The highlights of the sports day were the competitive and energetic individual races of kindergarten students of Buds 'N' Blooms. The young Doonites enthralled everyone with their fun-filled races which included the Three-legged Race, the Gooseberry Race, the Hula Hoop Relay Race and the Hurdle Race. Students of class Nursery Junior demonstrated a captivating performance which was indeed engaging. The Dean, Capt. Sanjay Anand, SM, and Principal Ms. Sunita Anand appreciated the efforts of the participants and said that we all learn more outside the class through the medium of sports which is like a rejuvenating therapy for all. In the end, Tavish, a student of class II played the keyboard while Yashaswi, a student of Class I sang the school song.

November Birthday bash

Children were dressed in pink -colored attire, brought pink-colored food items in tiffin and Children got favourite snacks in their tiffin and loved to share with their friends. The little ones danced to the tune of good music and immensely enjoyed the day.

Excursion Trip

It was a day of fun and frolic for the children of Nursery Junior to II of Doon Public School who thoroughly enjoyed an excursion to Camp-Will-O-The-Wisp located at Siswan on Friday, November 18, 2022. The activities conducted were Talk on Good & Bad Touch, Balloon Bursting Game, Nature Trail Awareness, Face Painting,Burma Bridge, Free Play,Talk on Etiquettes & Manners ,Magic Show,Tug of War,Bouncy Cart Ride, Obstacle Course. The picnic began with the kids clapping and singing songs in the bus. They played games, danced, sang and had their favourite snacks on the lush green lawns of the park.The little ones thoroughly enjoyed the day and their excitement continued even after they returned from the picnic.

Creative skills

Innovative activities were conducted in Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School to develop the creative skills of the students. Students enjoyed Colouring, Finger Painting, Cotton Pasting, Origami, Vegetable Painting, and Paper Craft Making. The aim behind these creative activities was to enable children to experiment with thought processes, actions, and materials and provided good opportunities for problem-solving, collaboration, and negotiation – all of which are key skills for life and are essential ingredients of a meaningful life.

Children's Day

The Children's Day is celebrated every year with grand splendor and fiesta at Doon Public School. On Monday, 14th November 2022, a Special Assembly was conducted for children with an endearing presentation by the teachers. The Children’s Day celebration began with a light-hearted assembly dedicated to the students by their teachers. The school Principal, Mrs. Sunita Anand, addressed the children and shared her words of wisdom. An introduction about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru set off the proceedings followed by a power-packed performance by the teachers, which included the national, international, school news, recitation of poems, skit, singing, and dancing. The tiny tots came dressed up in fancy outfits and brought their favourite food items to share with friends. The day commemorated with immense joy enthusiasm and magnificence.

B'day Bash sep,22

Cute birthday stars looked adorable in their colourful attire. Little champs cut the cake after blowing the shining candles and made beautiful crafts. Orange the colour of joy and creativity was introduced and enjoyed by the students. The students dressed up in orange bubbling with energy and fascination was a great feast to the eyes. Children were showered with lots of love and blessings by their friends and teachers.

Gratitude Day

The students of Kindergarten & Classes I and II of Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated a day of gratitude to acknowledge and appreciate the devotion of their caretakers. Students got actively involved in preparing song & and dance performances with heart-touching messages. The most laudable part of this endeavour was their ‘Little Expression’ in the form of a bag full of goodies rendered to express their love, intimacy and deep sense of gratitude towards their helpers, bus drivers and attendants.

Diwali Celebration

The celebration of Diwali, ‘The festival of lights’ came alive at Doon Public School, Panchkula on 21st of October when the whole school wore a festive look with diyas and decoration in bright colors. The rangoli done by students added the perfect setting to the festivity. The Principal addressed the gathering and brought out the essence of the festival – a celebration of life and goodness.Card Making, Diya,Thali Decoration, Toran Making, paper craft and Rangoli Making competitions were held to enhance the creative skills of the students.Exuberance was written on faces of young Doonites as they donned the festive colours and performed their parts with great zeal and enthusiasm. International Peace Day

Celebrating International Day of Peace at Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, Panchkula, participated in a yoga and meditation session to appreciate the significance of mental peace and harmony in our lives. In another activity, children were shown an inspiring dance performance by the teachers. The students were motivated to imbibe the value of love, harmony, and non-violence and to become instruments of peace in their homes and surroundings.

Toy Donation

Doon Public School, Panchkula tried to inculcate the great practice of sharing and caring among the students at an early age. A 5-day event ‘Toy Donation Drive’ was organized from September 5, 2022, to September 9, 2022. Under the able guidance of the Principal, Ms Sunita Anand, a Toy Donation drive was conducted for the less fortunate children of the society. Donation boxes in both the wings were placed wherein all the students dropped their used toys but in good conditions along with their handcrafts in a neatly packed bag. Helping needy people through this was meant to spread joy and satisfaction.

Environment Bingo

Buds 'N' Blooms the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School celebrated a unique activity 'Environment Bingo' on Friday, August 5, 2022. The students were encouraged and motivated to beautify the surrounding areas through plantations, greenery, saving water etc. This day also highlighted that we have only one planet to live on, it is our home and only we are responsible to maintain its natural beauty forever.

Investiture Ceremony

At Doon Public School, the Investiture Ceremony is not just about providing titles but about conferring responsibilities to the students to take charge of the school. It was a solemn ceremony and the Principal Ms Sunita Anand and the Dean Mr Sanjay Anand SM invested the new appointees in their position of authority. The selected members of the Student Council took the oath to work faithfully with full dedication and responsibility in organizing events throughout the year. Nachiket and Krishti Aggarwal have been appointed as Head Boy and Head Girl while Rohtash Sharma and Shaista have been appointed as Students' Coordinators respectively. The Principal Ms Sunita Anand congratulated the students and encouraged them to put in their honest efforts for every endeavour and become an inspiration for their juniors.

Guru Purnima,2022

Doon Public School celebrated Guru Purnima with fervour and reverence. To make it special, teachers emphasized on the teachings of Vedic gurus such as Swami Param Hans, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Dayanand and Saint Kabir during zero period to celebrate this day. The principal Ms Sunita Anand in her message to the students said , “Without the blessings and teachings of the guru, one can™t attain the ultimate salvation and can’t follow the righteous path in life. So, it is our moral duty to pay obeisance to our gurus and mentors. An Inter House Declamation activity was conducted wherein the students participated with enthusiasm and they acquainted everyone with this meaningful day, which is celebrated to mark respect for the teachers who dispel the darkness of ignorance by bringing forth wisdom and illumination amongst us.

Swachh Vidyalaya Awards

At the district level under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Centre Government of India were given away by Sh Gian Chand, speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha to 36 schools of Haryana.Doon Public School, Sector 21, Panchkula received the prestigious award of Swachh Vidyalaya in the Urban School category. The Principal Mrs Sunita Anand received the award from the speaker of Haryana Vidhan Sabha. The Chief Guest appreciated the principal for ensuring neat and clean school which promotes a good attitude in everyone.

Father's Day

Father's Day is a celebration honouring fathers and celebrating fatherhood. Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated the day in its special way by asking students to honour their fathers, their heroes, by sharing their pictures with the school online. The spirits of young students were high as the summer vacation is on and children are spending quality time with their fathers. Memorial scrapbooks were made by students containing the best memories with their fathers. The students also made keychains with an inspirational quote on them for their fathers.

International Yoga Day 2022

Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm before the summer vacation. A special assembly on the theme Benefits of Yoga' was conducted for the students of classes 6 to 12, wherein the INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY was celebrated zestfully. The students discussed the importance of yoga and also exhibited yoga postures. They later presented beautifully designed posters depicting the benefits of yoga and promised to practice this activity in their daily lives. A quiz on yoga was conducted for the children in their respective classes. Pranayam and different asanas were also practiced. The Mass Surya Namaskar Display and the Clay Modelling activity were also conducted for the students. They found these activities and quizzes very informative. The Physical Education Department organized a special workshop for the teachers to promote yoga in their daily life.

B'day Bash class I and II

Doon Public School conducted sports activities on Monday, May 30, 2022. The eventful day began with some warm-up exercises and a dance performance. Thereafter, Classes I and II students participated in the fun games. The young Doonites displayed their vigour and athletic talent and proved their physical fitness. It was an inter-class event, a brilliant display of strength, stamina and success. The event truly pulled out a stock of champions, sparkling with their winner badges and cute smiles. Pool Party,2022

Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School organised a fun pool party on Thursday, May 19, 2022. The splash of pools was abundantly decorated with balloons and balls. Children were in a full tone of having a cool aqua fun day. The tiny tots were outfitted in colourful swimsuits and enjoyed playing in the water. The Party mood was on with peppy music and fun water games. The pool fun reached its climax with cool n' refreshing juices and healthy fruit fiesta.

B'day Bash May,2022

The tiny tots of Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, on Friday, May 20, 2022, were dressed up in indigo and blue attires. May month 'Birthday Bash' was hailed with an 'Indigo Space Exploration Theme'. Energetic children were glowing with optimism, sophistication and happiness as they spent the day with absolute enjoyment. A cake-cutting ceremony and dance party were the perfect way to celebrate the day before they took off for the summer break.

SCAVANGER Hunt

A Scavenger Hunt Activity' was organised on Friday, May 13, 2022, for the kindergarten students. The tiny tots performed the activity in groups. All the teams tried their best to decode the hidden clues for the win of their team. Ms Chitrangada Anand, Administrative Head of the Buds 'N' Blooms appreciated the team of teachers who were behind the implementation of such activities.

Covid Vaccination Campaign

Taking the Covid vaccination campaign forward, under the Sabko Vaccine Muft Vaccine campaign led by PM Narendra Modi Ji, the Covid Vaccination of children in the age group of 12-14 for the second dose took place. Doon Public School organised a Vaccination Camp for this age group through a dedicated inoculation session — that was earmarked COVID-19 vaccination centre for the 12-14 years' age-group to avoid their unintended vaccination with any other COVID-19 vaccines.

Teacher's Day

Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 05, 2022, with great gusto and gaiety. The program was led off with a prayer song dedicated to teachers sung by the school choir. The Principal Ms. Sunita Anand spoke about the significance of Teacher’s Day. As the speech concluded, a song reflecting the gratitude towards the teachers was sung by the students. As a token of love and appreciation for the Doonites, the teachers arranged for fun-filled activities and games that made the day memorable. Teachers also presented the PowerPoint presentation to the students to relinquish the importance of teacher’s day. Teachers were also felicitated on the occasion.

A teacher can facilitate hope, ignite creativity and instill a love for learning. To honor the hard work and determination towards the profession, Buds ‘N’ Blooms, the kindergarten wing of Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated Teacher’s Day on September 05, 2022 with great gusto and gaiety. The celebration was marked by an euphoria. As a token of love and appreciation for the tiny tots, the teachers arranged for fun-filled activities and games that made the day memorable. Teachers along with the students sang songs and played together creating memories to cherish forever.

International Family Day

Doon Public School commemorated the 'International Day of Family' with enthusiasm. The students of Classes I to V crafted 'Pop-Up Photo Frames' with their family pictures in exciting ways. The Principal, Ms Sunita Anand illustrated that in the context of the present-day nuclear family system students must value family bonding for creating a better society.

Soil Conservation

Doon Public School, Panchkula organized an Interactive Session on 'Soil Conservation. Advocate Rupali Shekhar and Psychologist Nidhi from Isha Foundation were the 'Guests of Honor'. A variety of workouts on Soil Conservation was held in addition to a presentation meant for the students. The program culminated with the anthem on soil conservation. Principal, Ms Sunita Anand in her address thanked the Isha Foundation for providing an enlightening experience for the students.

Mother's Day

Undoubtedly, moms deserve to be celebrated as they keep others ahead of themselves. Devoid our mothers’ immense sacrifices, we would not even be in this wonderful world today. Doon Public School celebrated Mother's Day by organising different activities Which comprised 'Tassel Necklace Making' and 'Making Honey Scrub'. The pupils tried their best to outshine in these activities to surprise their mothers.

The Investiture Ceremony Part II of Doon Public School was a gracious event where all the young students were prepared to don the mantle of surveillance and discharge the duties entrusted to them by the school. The school affirmed the budding young leaders as Monitors of different Classes. International Labour Day

The day to honour those souls who are striving hard in life to make it worthwhile. Doon Public School recognised the sincere endeavours of the class four employees by bestowing some tokens of gratitude to them at the hands of the school children. The employees were presented with cards, flowers and tokens of appreciation as a mark of respect. On the occasion Principal, Mrs Sunita Anand in her address stated that the school appreciated the ceaseless toil of the workforce of the nation. She stressed the need for the students’ community to forge a better understanding and realise the importance of the dignity of labour.

International Energy Day

To emphasizes the judicious use of energy to minimize wastage and save reserves for the future, Doon Public School, Panchkula celebrated International Energy Day with zeal and fervour. As most of the energy sources we use in our daily lives are non-renewable, they cannot be reused and renewed. An essay writing competition was organized for the students on energy conservation. The competition saw an overwhelming response from the students.

Class 12 students of Doon Public School turned nostalgic as they shared their cherished experiences and moments associated with the school life in the 'Best Wishes Party' . Principal Mrs Sunita Anand and Dean Mr. Sanjay Anand, SM said on the occasion that they have seen most of them growing with the school. They were happy to see the energy and confidence displayed by them. They urged the students to keep learning without any pressure and wished them good luck for a bright future.

Earth Day Celebration-2022

Annual School Election -2022-23

Election was held on school premises for all the four houses, for electing students for the post of House Captains, House Vice-Captains. Students from grades 6 to 12 took an active part in the selection process.

World Heritage Day-2022

A concerted effort to preserve our heritage is a vital chain to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational and economic legacies and all of the things that quite literally make us who we are. Doon Public School on this day conducted. Sseveral activities and executed them on the campus. A presentation directed at raising awareness among students about the diversity of heritage monuments and sites was highly estimable. Students, representing 29 states, provided details about their traditions, languages and buildings of historical importance. It was followed by an oath taken by students pledging to preserve their glory. The school principal, Ms Sunita Anand encouraged the students to celebrate their culture and conventions

Grooming Day -2022

For so many families, regular exercise and even routine doctor or dental visits have gone out the window out of concern or fear of being exposed to COVID-19. Grooming Day was observed at Buds 'N' Blooms, the kindergarten section of Doon Public School on Friday, April 8, 2022. As good health is closely linked to good grooming and personal hygiene, the Coordinator and teachers enacted everyday scenarios through educational skits to acquaint the tiny tots about the routine hygiene habits like healthy daily routine, washing of hands before and after . Students learnt the importance of health and hygiene through interactive & fun games.

Pariksha Par Charcha- 2022

Finally the big day was here! Pariksha Pe Charcha fifth edition concluded. Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with students, teachers and parents on the 5th edition of PPC. He shared his magical mantras with #ExamWarriors, teachers and parents today at 11 AM. Doon Public School had made the arrangements in the campus for the live running of the broadcast of 'Pariksha Par Charcha 2022' The Principal, Vice Principal were present on the Occasion. Prime Minister urged that Competitions make life progressive and asked the students to analyse their time invested.He laid emphasis on remaining calm and concentrated for exam.PM Modi responded to questions on NEP as well. It was a "fantastic learning" opportunity for students as they were feeling motivated by adopting the invaluable life lessons of our Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji.

Covid Vaccination Campaign -2022

Taking the Covid vaccination campaign forward, under the 'Sabko Vaccine Muft Vaccine campaign' led by PM Narendra Modi ji, the Covid vaccination of children in the age group of 12-14 has started. Doon Public School organised a Vaccination Camp for the children in the age group of 12 to 14 to secure the country together and get the vaccine. Same was conducted through a dedicated inoculation session — that was earmarked COVID-19 vaccination centre for 12-14 years' age-group to avoid their unintended vaccination with any other COVID-19 vaccines. The School Administration guided the Parents and Children and appreciated their overwhelming response to make Vaccination drive successful.

Celebration of Vasant Panchmi-2022

Vasant Panchmi was celebrated with great reverence and devotion in Doon Public School by performing Saraswati Puja. Melodious Bhajan and Shlokas instilled the environment with devotion. Teacher's Day Celebration-2021

“The true teachers are those who help think for ourselves.” Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Teacher’s Day is celebrated on 5th September every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – First Vice President of India and the Second President of India. On Friday, September 03, 2021, Buds ‘N’ Blooms the kindergarten section of Doon Public School celebrated Teacher’s Day on a digital platform. The event was a wonderful experience for the Kindergarteners – an amalgamation of knowledge and entertainment. The tiny tots showed their love towards their teachers by making handmade cards. They spoke a few words about their favourite teacher who inspired and helped them to excel. They made the teacher proud and their messages touched teachers’ hearts. It was a novice experience and a day of delight for the teachers to see the talents of their students.

Independence Day Celebrations 2021

Independence Day celebrations at school often mean a beautifully decorated campus in ribbons and balloons of the national flag’s colours, students proudly singing the Anthem and looking forward to present some amazing dance and song performances. But Covid-19 added a twist to the Independence Day celebrations. The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour in Doon Public School, Panchkula. Owing to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, a virtual Independence Day theme party was organised for the Classes I to VIII. Different activities were conducted online like elaboration of value of Independence by the teachers, quizzes and displaying of tricolour dishes by the students. The students of Classes IX to XII made their videos while reciting the patriotic poems and singing National Anthem. It was heartening to see children apply themselves with as much zeal and zest to the Independence Day celebrations as in other festivities.

Mother's day celebration -2021

Of all the gifts life offers, a mother is the greatest of all; she might be a mother to the world, but she is the world to her family. With a view to imbibe family values in the technology-driven 21st century, the students of Doon Public School virtually celebrated Mother's Day on Friday, May 7, 2022 . The earnestness of the children attained a new high as they prepared hand-painted floral cards for their mothers with immense enthusiasm. Delighting their parents with their recital skills the tiny tots came up with beautiful rhymes and stories to convey gratitude to their moms for their unconditional love. In the spirit of the special day, children embraced and shared a healthy snack with their loving mothers.The virtual classrooms were filled with feelings of love, gratitude and appreciation. Looking at the innocent faces mothers too got a chance to revisit their childhood memories and become a child herself in that moment of absolute happiness and delight. It was interesting to witness how lovingly the little shining stars extended their gratitude to their pillars of strength.

Pariksha pe charcha-march 2021

Adhering to the initiative taken by our Hon'ble Prime minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, Doon Public School carried on the unique program launched by him- Pariksha Pe Charcha. â–ªThe main motive behind carrying on this program was to rule out the examination stress from amongst the students, who had already been going through the mental turmoil due to the untimely changes and the challenges of those unprecedented times of Pandemic, all through the year. â–ªDuring this campaign, the students were morally boosted and encouraged by their teachers through healthy discourses, quizes, fun based questionnaire, through getting valuable tips for appearing in the examinations etc. Students of classes IX- XII, vigorously supported the move by participating in creative writing, gratitude card making activities, Online on the government portal. â–ªNot only this, the school Principal, Mrs. Sunita Anand, conducted a webinar for the parents, to motivate the students as well as the parents, for the Annual Examination for the session 2020-21. The sweeping changes in the education system to be brought as a result of New Education Policy, were apprised to the parents. â–ªThe program aimed at ruling out the fear of examination from amongst the students and to prepare them to treat the examination time more like a Festival or an Utsav, as stated by Hon'ble PM.

World mental health day-2020

DOON PUBLIC SCHOOL in association with Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, undertook MANODARPAN, an initiative covering a wide range of activities to provide psychological support to students, teachers and families for Mental Health and Emotional Well-being during Covid-19. Adhering to the guidelines issued by the CBSE as regards MANODARPAN, the school observed a Mental Health Week from October 4th to October 10th, during which varied Online Activities such as- Story- telling by the teachers, Poster making/ Slogan Writing by the students, were organized. The entire week was consumed in spreading the psychological/ mental health awareness amongst all, during these prevailing grotesque conditions due to COVID- 19.

Adieu to class xii doonites-2020

Doon Public School, Sector-21, Panchkula organised a ‘Farewell Party’ for the outgoing batch of XII students with complete pomp and show. The students of class XI depicted the beautiful memories spent in the school through the medium of an extravagant dance performance. In order to make the atmosphere more enjoyable various kind of fun games were put up. The students participated in these games with full enthusiasm. The students of class XII shared their memorable experiences and expressed their sense of gratitude towards the Principal, the teachers and the institution. The school honoured and awarded the students with the titles of the best dressed and the much coveted the ‘Doon Icon’. Jeevan Gurung of class XII won the title of being well dressed among the boys and Sonal Sheoran won the title among girls. The title of Doon Icon was bagged by the much deserved ‘Ankita Bora’. In the concluding episode of the successful event, the Principal of the school Mrs. Sunita Anand presented the students with the token of love. The students enjoyed a lot and departed from school with heavy hearts.

Hindustan times scholarship -2020

Doon Public School, excelled in Hindustan Times Scholarship where Ananya Chawla, a student of class- V won the cash prize of Rs. 25000/-. She emerged as the winner out of hundreds of students who had participated in the event organised by the ‘Hindustan Times’. It has been a hat trick for Doon Public School as it won the coveted prize for third consecutive year. Ananya gave the entire credit to the school and teachers for grooming her up so well that she secured a good rank in the event. Principal Mrs. Sunita Anand lauded the efforts of Ananya and wished her best of luck for her future endeavour.
